I believe that the computer has had a great effect on the literacy rate. The computer has spread knowledge all over the world. It has a great effect on everyone in the world. A few hundred years ago computers was around but not a advanced as now. Back then everyone didn't have access to a computer so it was a lot harder to get information and other stuff. The computer is almost like the Gutenberg Printing Press except the computer has more space and a lot more hard drive than the Printing Press.

Computers have only been around for about the past 60 years. What other comparison can you make between the printing press and computers? I do agree that the invention of computers has had the greatest impact on the spread of knowledge. Good pictures.
